Marc Orchant · 2 years agoYou're right Zoli but missed an important dimension to this announcement. While the implications are indeed big as far as desktop work is concerned, IMAP in Gmail is also a huge win for users of smartphones and other mobile devices (iPhone, Nokia N800/810, Treo, etc.) who'd like to manage all of their e-mail transactions in a single client.

Zoli Erdos · 2 years agoIndeed, you're right, Marc, thanks - see update in post.

Steve Duncan · 2 years agoIt's a shame they haven't gotten around to enabling IMAP on their Gmail for domains accounts yet.

Buck · 2 years agoOffline sync for all productivity apps - cal, contacts, docs, CRM - is vital for folks like me who live in a place where frequent power and connectivity outages are the norm (Florida). Without some semblance of my data offline, when I can't get to the web (which is at least a weekly occurrence, even if only for an hour or so), I can't get anything done, can't get the details of my schedule and contacts' info, etc. Not cool. Love Zoho but for now, only for collaboration - still keep local synced copies.
